Longer walking routes nearby


Good sections to walk in a day include:

  1. Seaford to Southease (10 miles) where you are rewarded with great views of the Seven Sisters and includes walking through the pretty villages of Westdean and Alfriston
  2. Seaford to Eastbourne (10 miles) some steep climbs up and down on the Seven Sisters are rewarded by stunning coastal views.  The path passes over the Seven Sisters into Birling gap where you can rest at the excellent NT café and if you are tempted have a swim in the sea.  The path continues over Beachy Head and then descends into Eastbourne.  Enjoy an afternoon there exploring Eastbourne’s seafront and pier.  There is a good and frequent bus service between Eastbourne and Seaford.
