“We wanted a peaceful place in the countryside but near the town and that is exactly what we got! The cottage is set in beautiful countryside but is only a few minutes away from the centre of Tunbridge Wells! Virginia was a welcoming host from the outset and very responsive to any queries we had. The cottage is warm and comfortable and immaculately clean! The beds are extremely comfortable with lovely bed linen. There are beautiful far reaching views all around the property and the icing on the cake is being able to walk through their extensive private woodland and the secluded bird hide. “The holiday home was ideal for 4 people, beautiful views of the countryside. We loved the patio and decking area, watching the sheep the fields next door. Great location, we walked to the local pub through the nature reserve. We would definitely come back, possibly in the winter and a chance to use the log fire”. “We had a lovely visit at the Flying Horse Cottage: Gorgeous views from both the patio and the deck (including lots of deer and bucks in the distance on a few occasions) , beautiful walking trails on the doorstep (including to the bird hide) easy access to great farm shop and RT Wells pubs, restaurants and shops (but also easy to order grocieries and meals through Ubereats). We had just about everything we needed for self-catering meals. The place was immaculately clean and comfortable and it was nice to be able to relax inside and watch Netflix and Amazon when the weather was gray. Also loved seeing the neighbouring sheep every day, as well as the birds devouring the peanuts in the feeder! Giny and Andrew were always responsive to our needs and accommodating hosts”.

“We spent one month in this beautiful and comfortable cottage. The views from the cottage are spectacular! We saw deer in the fields almost every evening. Truly delightful. Giny and Andrew, the owners are extremely helpful and are so warm and wonderful. The location is near tons of National Trust properties. “Great week at the Cottage. Although we know the area well it was nice to experience the peace and quiet here. It’s the definition of small but perfectly formed. Everything is high quality, well thought out (plenty of storage and plugs!) and it’s all well finished. The kitchen has everything; loved the super hi tech oven and the work space. The under floor heating is wonderful. Bed was comfy and the bathroom is super – with a great wet room style shower. The garden is a really good size, and both seating areas are private and get the sun throughout the day, it was also totally secure for our dog (poo bags and bin provided!).The views are exceptional with plenty of wildlife (woodpeckers, deer, birds of prey and sheep!). The added bonus of the private woods and heath across the road were wonderful, especially in the evening.
