Enjoy the vibrant gardens at Great Dixter, originally the home of the Lloyd family and well-known as the garden created by Christopher Lloyd and continued by Fergus Garrett. If you appreciate colour and form you’re in for a treat with its famous long border and exotic garden crammed with dahlias, cannas, banana plants and much more. The house has a fascinating history. Originally a 15th century medieval hall house to which another hall house from Benenden was added in the early 20th century with the help of the architect Edwin Lutyens.
